BCE provided mechanical, electrical, and fire protection design services for this new, 115,000 SF elementary school that serves 825 students.

The mechanical design includes HVAC for the classrooms and administrative spaces, along with the gym, commons, kitchen, and library. The mechanical design also includes a DDC control system, which manages temperature control and energy consumption.

The electrical systems include power and lighting, along with low voltage systems which include the fire alarm systems, intrusion alarm systems, data network communication infrastructure, and intercom/clock systems. A sound system for the band and choir rooms was also a part of our design.

Our electrical team also designed street lighting and frontage improvements where we provided electrical coordination for Tacoma Power and Internet/Telephone providers for undergrounding their services along 20th Street.

We also provided field lighting for the baseball field to accommodate pier locations, foundations, and conduit infrastructure for future field lighting.
