Katharine G. Johnson Elementary School
Katharine G. Johnson Elementary School is Bethel School District's first new elementary school in more than 13 years. This 80,000 SF school can serve up to 700 students and is designed to accommodate population growth in the area.
Electrical design included systems for power, lighting, the fire alarm, data/communications, security/intrusion detection/CCTV, access control/lock-down system, intercom clock/speaker, and classroom AV systems.
Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning are provided throughout the building via zone-level four-pipe fan coil units. The fan coil units include variable-capacity ECM fan motors to adjust supply airflow seasonally based on space heating, economizer, and mechanical cooling requirements.
