Lake Washington High School
This state-of-the-art, $73.5M high school accommodates approximately 1,200 students in a 212,000 square foot highly-efficient learning environment provided under the GC/CM teaming arrangement.
Designs included HVAC, fire protection, and plumbing. Highlights include a ground coupled heat pump mechanical system and vertical ground loop. The vertical ground loop field consists of over 200 individual bores, each drilled to a depth of over 300 feet. These wells include a 6" bore hole with 1" HDPE piping and high performance grout to maximize heat transfer. Full direct digital control is provided for all HVAC components as well as outside lighting scheduling. Each classroom is individually controlled through temperature sensors in the classroom.
