Maple Lawn Elementary School Modernization

This was a $12.7M renovation and modernization of the 49,300 square foot Maple Lawn Elementary School. The complete gut and renovation transformed the building into a state-of-the-art 21st century learning environment.

The electrical design included power, lighting and low voltage systems. The low voltage systems consist of fire alarm, security, CCTV, data network, intercom, clock, telephone, and television. The HVAC system design utilized a hydronic four-pipe system with air side economizer serving the classrooms, library, kitchen, and gymnasium and Variable Air Volume (VAV) system serving the administrative areas. The fire protection design consists of integrated a new wet and dry system into an existing fully sprinkled building. The existing sprinkler systems remained operational during the renovation since the building was fully occupied during construction.
