This project involved converting a former Costco warehouse building into the new home for the Fleet Services and Police Warehouse and Maintenance Functions for the City of Tacoma. This $6M, LEED Silver, 147,800 square foot facility services over 1,000 City-owned vehicles, and is also shared by the police department's Special Operations. Unique features of BCE's designs include a rainwater collection system that stores and treats rainwater for equipment washing and toilet flushing. High efficiency lighting was designed with a daylight harvesting system that reduces lighting energy consumed by 50%.
